The Process

How High Court Enforcement works

Step 01

Apply for transfer

Complete Form N293A to transfer your CCJ (£600+) to the High Court for a Writ of Control.

Step 02

7-day notice

The HCEO sends a formal Notice of Enforcement giving the debtor 7 days to pay in full.

Step 03

Enforcement visit

If the debtor does not pay, the HCEO visits their premises to seize assets, vehicles, or stock.

Step 04

Payment or sale

The debtor pays to release seized goods, or goods are sold at auction with proceeds paid to you.

Fees

What does High Court Enforcement cost?

High Court Enforcement fees are structured in stages, and critically: if enforcement succeeds, all fees are added to the debt and recovered from the debtor.

This means you do not pay out of pocket if the HCEO successfully recovers your money. The only scenario where you bear a cost is if enforcement fails — in which case you pay the compliance fee of £75 + VAT.
